Physical Education and Sports Funding
Physical Education and Sports funding is additional funding which can be used by schools for a range of things such as afterschool clubs, teaching pupils how to swim and encouraging active play at break times. This funding supports the Government’s commitment to ensure children and young people have access to at least 60 minutes, or 20 minutes for children with a disability, of physical activity a day. Being active can have a hugely positive impact on both our physical and mental health. As a school we utilise this funding in various ways to make sustainable improvements and maintain the provision of physical education and sport, as well as to promote a healthy and active lifestyle. This is reviewed each year to recognise the impact it has had. More information on this can be found in the documents below.
